Raj Guntuku, 13, was a stage five chronic kidney disease patient in need of a transplant and he found a donor in a surprising way. Joel Morales read about the teen in the newspaper and stepped up to get tested. That “miracle” dog was rescued by Jude Mead and the shelter had a lot of people interested in adopting the pup. A Pennsylvania boy saved the day when his baby sister was choking as dad was driving. Jaxson Demsey is only eight, but he knew what to do when his 20-month-old sister, Lelia, was choking on a chicken nugget. A North Carolina High School Student with Down syndrome scored a touchdown at the Senior Night football game. Sam Jordan has been the manager for Lake Norman’s football team for four years, but he got the chance to run for a touchdown before kickoff last week. The teen says it was “the best thing that ever happened to me.” Source: Today

A grocery store worker in Illinois is being recognized as a hero for saving a baby who was strapped into a runaway shopping cart. Ben Mazur works as a courtesy clerk at Schnucks in Alton and was wrangling carts when he heard a car horn “repeatedly and frantically honking.” The driver was alerting him to the cart with the baby inside and he ran across the parking lot to stop it before it crashed into a stop sign.
